Methods used to ... Investigate Goals

Investigating goals is about knowing the user's workflow and their needs for what does not yet exist. It's about aligning all the requirements - from the business side to the sponsor's intentions - and building consensus on what success looks like.  These methods figure out what users want to do, what design details will get them working smarter and faster, and how branding aspects can differentiate the end user's experience of an otherwise duplicate-able product.
